This Woodbury Pewter Jefferson Cup is a one of a kind piece of American history. In 1810, when Thomas Jefferson commissioned a silversmith to make eight cups from his own design, he probably never imagined how popular they would become.  The style was known as a tumbler - a low, round-bottomed cup popular from the 17th through 18th century. The sleek sides, short stature, and weighted bottoms create a sturdy and durable vessel. This elegantly simple and extremely versatile Pewter Jefferson Cup makes a classy, sophisticated gift which can be made even more precious when personalized. Monograms, names, dates, and messages of your choice can be etched into the silver using a diamond tip. This Pewter Jefferson Cup is a perfect, one of a kind gift for a variety of occasions: Weddings, anniversaries, birthdays, holidays or housewarmings. Perfect for groomsmen gifts or corporate gifts!
